3 Initial Ideas

1 – Intro music, girl is in a happy-ish relationship with her partner. He finds out that she kissed his friend and gets upset. The couple argues throughout the song whilst she is breaking out of her shell. E.g. wearing heavy eye makeup this goes on throughout the song, she is purposely trying to make him jealous. In the end they break up even though he is willing to forgive her. She gets a new boyfriend and the cycle starts again because she looks at her new partner’s friend in the last few shots.

2 – Same intro as idea number one except ‘Avril’s’ partner is a female not a male which breaks music video conventions of a heterosexual relationship. Avril is in denial about the things she is singing in the song. She tries to be different and make her girlfriend jealous but it only makes her partner want her back more. She doesn't want to go out with her again because she doesn't feel that she deserves her love after what she has done. She starts going mad and in the end she does because she can’t get her out of her head.

3 – Same intro as idea number one. Girl still wants to stay with her partner she just needs a break, she leaves their house and wanders of going into different places having fun and meeting new people. At the end they are seen together and carry on with their relationship because he has forgiven her.
